Medicines in School
Wherever possible, the school request that medication for short term illnesses (completion of a course antibiotics when the child is well enough to return to school) should be administered before the beginning and after the end of the school day.
To ensure that the correct dosage and that the medication is administered at the right time, approved medication will only be administered on receipt of a written request from the parent/carer (this can be obtained from the school office).
Parents/carers are welcome to come into school and administer medication at break / lunch times subject to prior arrangement with the school through the school office.
Asthma inhalers or Epi-pens should be brought in and left in school with the name of the child and the class clearly marked on each medication (an extra one can be requested from your doctor).
